The 2018 Diamicton TALENTO BRUT M.C. by PIFFER is a white sparkling wine from the Trentino region in Italy. Characterised by careful and traditional production, it is made from hand-picked grapes following a thorough organoleptic tasting. The vineyards, cultivated using typical Trentino methods such as Guyot, low spurred cordon, and simple pergola, have roots in complex glacial soils rich in gravel, sand, and fine sediments, which impart a particular richness and complexity to the wine. Vintage: 2018 Alcohol content: 12.5% Winery: Guyot, low spurred cordon, and simple Trentino pergola. Harvest/Vintage: The grapes are hand-picked after organoleptic tasting. Organoleptic notes: Sparkling wine with fine perlage and a beautiful pale straw-yellow colour, rich and complex on the nose, with floral and fruity notes enveloped in a light sensation of fresh bread and vanilla that provide great finesse. On the palate, it is lively, with good structure and acidity, and a lovely sweet-sour sensation integrated with excellent salinity. The aftertaste is excellent, long, pleasant, and very clean. Soil: Composed of massive glacial and colluvial deposits, characterised by heterogeneous mixtures of gravel, sand, and fine polygenic sediments. Vineyard: For the production of this sparkling wine, we have placed great importance not only on geomorphological and micro-climatic characteristics, the careful tending of the vines, and the ideal accommodation for sparkling wine production, but especially on the great complexity of the geological composition of the soils formed by glacial movements over millennia. In these soils, the vines take root and transfer part of this complexity and richness to the grapes. Winemaking/Aging: Soft pressing of whole grapes at temperatures below 15°C with a maximum yield in must of 55% vol./weight. Yield per hectare: Approximately 5,500 litres.
