This sparkling rosé, belonging to the IGT category, is made from Aglianico grapes grown in clay-limestone soils, using a particular winemaking method that involves whole pressing without destemming and a bottle refermentation without the addition of sugars, yeasts or sulphites, giving the wine a unique and natural character. Harvest/Vintage: Manual Organoleptic notes: Il Fric is a fun, fragrant and pleasant wine, with delicate notes of raspberry, strawberry and mandarin, and floral hints reminiscent of rose and jasmine. On the palate, it flows full, creamy and flavourful, with just the right amount of crispness. Soil: Clay-limestone, medium texture rich in silicon. Vineyard: Vigna Dellemore and Vigna dell'acquasanta; area 0.7 ha and 1.3 ha; altitude 50 m/slm; 4,000 and 5,000 vines/ha; planting density 1.10 x 2.30 and 0.9 x 2.20. Winemaking/Aging: The base wine is obtained from the whole pressing of Aglianico grapes, without destemming. The colour is obtained only from this brief contact with the skins. After a year of aging in steel, fresh must from the following harvest is added to the base wine. The refermentation occurs in the bottle. No sugars, yeasts or sulphites are added, and the wine is intentionally not disgorged, leaving the deposits from the second fermentation in the bottle.
