The 2017 Donnas Superieur is a still red wine produced by Cave de Donnas, located in the picturesque region of Valle d'Aosta, Italy. This DOC wine is made from Nebbiolo grapes grown on the rocky slopes of Runc, in the municipality of Donnas, on acidic reaction soils and terraced walls of dry-stacked boulders. The manual harvest, carried out carefully in 18 kg crates and transported downhill using a monorail or on shoulders, ensures a careful selection of grapes for vinification in steel from destemmed grapes.
