The 2021 Pinot Grigio Collio by Damijan Podversic is a still red wine from the renowned region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. This unique expression of Pinot Grigio, belonging to the DOC designation, is made from hand-harvested grapes with careful selection in east-facing vineyards, in the characteristic Ponca – Opoka soil, a marl sandstone that adds complexity to the wine's organoleptic profile. Vintage: 2021 Alcohol content: 15 Winery: Guyot unilateral Harvest/Vintage: Manual in crates with selection in the vineyard in September. Organoleptic notes: Upon pouring, the colour presents the variety in its true attire conferred by the purplish skin. Aromaticity and elegance are the key words in the interpretation of this grape variety. From an unusual colour, one also tastes a Pinot Grigio that breaks the mould: soft and delicate tannins with a fruity finish that is also found on the nose. Soil: Ponca – Opoka. Marl/Sandstone. Vineyard: Monte Calvario (Go), east exposure. Winemaking/Aging: Fermentation occurs in the presence of the skins in truncated-conical oak vats for 30 days. Yield per hectare: 40 q.li/Ha A wine that invites careful tasting, capable of surprising with its structure and delicacy. The 2021 Pinot Grigio Collio by Damijan Podversic is ideal for those wishing to discover a Pinot Grigio that breaks the mould, perfect to accompany moments of relaxation or refined dishes.
