The 2021 Amarone Valpolicella Classico from Villa Spinosa is a still red wine from the renowned region of Veneto, Italy. This DOCG wine is produced from estate vineyards located in the hills of Valpolicella Classica, between Negrar and Marano, where the limestone soils and altitude between 230 and 423 metres contribute to giving the product unique and distinctive characteristics. The harvest takes place manually between mid-September and early October, with careful selection of the Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes, which are dried in fruit drying rooms to enhance complexity and intensity. Vintage: 2021 Alcohol content: 16% Grapes: almost entirely Corvina Veronese and Corvinone with a small percentage of Rondinella Alcohol by volume: 16 Winery: Guyot Harvest/Vintage: From mid-September to early October, manual harvesting of the grapes, selecting the bunches and placing them in special boxes for drying in the fruit drying rooms. Organoleptic notes: Wine with a ruby red colour with garnet reflections, on the nose it reveals hints of marasca in spirit, cherry, fig, and balsamic notes of aromatic herbs accompanied by sweet spices. Great structure on the palate, the tannins are soft and silky, balanced by a pleasant acidity. Soil: Limestone soils, shallow and of medium fertility, originating from marine deposits. Vineyard: Estate vineyards located in Negrar, in the areas of Jago and Costa del Buso, and in Marano di Valpolicella, in the Figari area, hilly areas of Valpolicella Classica. Altitude: between 230 and 423 metres above sea level. Exposure: eastward (Negrar in Valpolicella) and westward (Marano di Valpolicella).
