The 2006 BIGOLLA from VIGNETI MASSA is a red still DOC wine from the Piemonte region in Italy. This wine is made from grapes grown in a limestone vineyard facing east, located 280 metres above sea level, with artisanal care that includes manual harvesting in bins and a rigorous selection in the vineyard. The traditional vinification involves daily pump-overs and careful management of the pomace, elements that give the wine a unique and refined character, an authentic expression of the Piemonte territory. Vintage: 2006 Alcohol content: 15 Winery: Guyot Harvest\/Vintage: Manual in bins with selection in the vineyard, when the lignified stem (the right moment of ripeness indicated by the browning of the stem at the internode). Organoleptic notes: A first-class red wine arrives in the glass well polished. It presents a wonderfully dense ruby red colour. On the nose, this Vigneti Massa red wine displays all types of sour cherry. Blackcurrant and blueberry are added thanks to ageing in large wooden barrels. Vinification\/Ageing: Traditional with daily pump-overs for about 8\/10 days, pomace massage around the fourth\/fifth day, racking and soft pressing of the pomace, immediate reintegration of the total pressing yield into the must.
