The 2022 (1,500) Ripasso Valpolicella Classico Superiore Etui is born from the experience of Albino Armani Viticoltori since 1607, a historic winery in Veneto, Italy. This DOC red wine, produced with Corvina grapes from vineyards located in the high hills of the Marano Valley, is characterised by its particular vinification: the Valpolicella of the vintage is aged on the fresh pomace of Amarone, thus enriching it with structure, volume and tannic sweetness. Vintage: 2022 Alcohol content: 14% Grapes: Corvina Alcohol level: 14 Winery: Old pergolas on terraced land made with dry stone walls (marogne). Harvest/Vintage: Manual, early October. Organoleptic notes: Wine with an intense red colour, aroma of ripe cherries, blackberries and spices (ginger in particular). Persistent and warm taste, but at the same time endowed with fresh notes and pleasant savouriness. Soil: Calcareous deposits on volcanic rocks in Marano. Vineyard: High hills of the Marano Valley between 360 and 450 m above sea level. Vinification/Aging: The Valpolicella of the vintage is transferred onto the fresh pomace of Amarone, still strictly in structure and aromas. Some pump-overs and a few délestages follow to accompany it to the exhaustion of residual sugars and enrich it in volume and tannic sweetness.
