The 2019 NIZZA RISERVA Le Rose di FRANCOMONDO is a still red wine from the renowned region of Piemonte, Italy. The result is a wine with an intense red colour and violet reflections, characterised by a broad aroma reminiscent of sour cherry, coffee, and cocoa. On the palate, it is full, austere, and velvety with a rich and silky finish. Vineyard: Grapes exposed to the southeast within the Cru Mariano in the municipality of San Marzano Oliveto, carefully thinned during the summer months. Winemaking/Aging: The harvest of these precious berries is done late, placing the bunches in crates to preserve their integrity while paying particular attention to their quality and complete ripeness. The winemaking, accompanied by a long maceration on the skins, is followed by 36 months of aging in fine French oak barrels, allowing the wine to reach its full maturity through the development of tertiary aromas that enhance its qualities. Subsequently, the wine continues to age for about 12 months in the bottle.
