The 2021 (0.500) Recioto Valpolicella from Villa Spinosa is a sweet DOCG wine from the renowned region of Veneto, Italy. Characterised by an intense red colour, this wine is made from selected grapes grown in the hilly areas of Jago and Figari, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica. Vineyard: Jago (Negrar in Valpolicella) and Figari (Marano di Valpolicella) hilly areas of Valpolicella Classica near the Masua hill; altitude between 212 and 305 m a.s.l.; exposure towards the east Negrar in Valpolicella and towards the west Marano di Valpolicella; from 3,700 to 4,500 vines/ha. Vinification/Maturation: Soft crushing and destemming of the grapes. Controlled temperature fermentation at 8-15°C; maceration for 3-4 weeks with daily pump-overs and délestage every 2-3 days; subsequent racking in the presence of a good quantity of non-fermentable sugars. Malolactic fermentation in spring and storage in steel tanks for 1 month. Yield per hectare: 30-35 hectolitres of wine per hectare.
