The 2023 GRILLO Bianco di Abbadessa BIO* is a still wine produced by Ansaldi, a company distinguished by its focus on quality and sustainability, located in the beautiful region of Sicily, Italy. This DOC white wine is made from organically grown Grillo grapes from the Vigna Abbadessa, using traditional methods and careful winemaking that enhances the unique characteristics of the territory, characterised by medium-textured soils rich in minerals and manual harvesting. Vintage: 2023 Alcohol content: 12.5 Winery: Controspalliera Harvest/Vintage: Manual in 15 kg crates. Organoleptic notes: The Bianco di Abbadessa is the premier cru of the Tenuta Ansaldi, created by the family to bring consumers closer to the production philosophy of the Reserve White "Abbadessa", which has been produced since 2006 with the Grillo grape, cultivated organically and cared for by the skilled hands of winemaker Giacomo Ansaldi. Soil: Medium-textured, fairly deep soils with a slight presence of skeleton. Reddish in colour, fairly calcareous with an alkaline reaction, characterised at depth by the presence of a thin calcareous crust of marine origin, and an important layer of "peat", an ancient soil where roots settle and find water resources and macronutrients for good vigour. Vineyard: Vigna Abbadessa Winemaking/Aging: Destemming and cold maceration for 5 hours, soft pressing and static clarification of the must. Yield per hectare: Approximately 70 q.li/Ha A white wine that combines tradition and respect for the environment, the 2023 GRILLO Bianco di Abbadessa BIO* pairs well with seafood dishes and moments of conviviality. We recommend trying it to appreciate the purity and freshness typical of the Grillo grape cultivated in Sicily.
