The 2019 (1,500) BRICCO DEL DRAGO Wooden Case is a still red wine produced by PODERI COLLA, directly from the heart of Piemonte, one of the most renowned wine regions in Italy. This DOC represents a balanced combination of tradition and territory, enhancing the typical characteristics of the Dolcetto and Nebbiolo grapes, hand-harvested and vinified separately to respect the ripening times of each. The result is a wine with an intense ruby colour and violet hues, reflecting the elegance and aromatic complexity of this fine selection. Vintage: 2019 Alcohol content: 14.5 Harvest/Vintage: Hand harvest Organoleptic notes: Very intense and deep ruby colour with violet hues typical of Dolcetto. Elegant aroma due to the perfect fusion of the finesse of Nebbiolo with the volume of Dolcetto. A repertoire of spicy and vinous notes typical of the grapes at maturity. On the palate, it possesses concentration and length, allowing for a surprising ageing potential. Vineyard: West-facing, altitude between 330 and 400 metres. Winemaking/Aging: The two grapes are vinified separately, as ripening occurs at different times: the blending of the two wines is done at a later stage. Maceration lasts about 5/8 days for Dolcetto and about 10/12 days for Nebbiolo at a maximum temperature of about 25°C and 30°C, respectively. Yield per hectare: 5,000 vines per hectare A wine to be discovered slowly, ideal for pairing with meat dishes and aged cheeses, which will enrich every occasion with its structure and depth. Available for online purchase, the BRICCO DEL DRAGO invites careful and conscious tasting to fully appreciate its quality and Piedmontese identity.
