The 2018 (1,500) LESSONA Tribute to Quintino Sella Wooden Box is a still red wine produced by TENUTE SELLA 1671, sourced from the historic hills of the municipality of Lessona in Piemonte. This DOC label represents the excellence of the Piemonte territory, with grapes hand-picked from south-west facing vineyards at 330 metres above sea level, on marine sandy soils of orange-yellow colour with acidic pH. The winemaking occurs through a traditional process involving fermentation in stainless steel with pump-overs and délestage, followed by a long post-fermentation maceration of 45 days, which gives the wine a structure and ageing potential exceeding 30 years.
