The 2023 Dolcetto d'Alba L by Virna Borgogno is a still red wine from Piemonte, a region renowned for the quality of its wines. This DOC label, certified SQNPI, originates from vineyards located on calcareous-clay soils with an east-facing exposure, at an altitude between 380 and 400 metres above sea level. The manual harvest with selection in the vineyard and traditional winemaking with controlled temperature maceration give the wine an authentic and refined character. Vintage: 2023 Alcohol content: 12.5 Winery: Guyot Harvest/Vintage: Manual in crates with selection in the vineyard. Organoleptic notes: Bright ruby red colour with mauve reflections; fruity, delicate aroma reminiscent of red fruits such as cherry, sour cherry, and in the year following the harvest, ripe fruit. Dry, elegant, harmonious taste with good persistence and roundness. Soil: Calcareous-clay Vineyard: Area 1ha – vines/ha 4,500 – planting density 2.50×0.90 – altitude 380-400m/a.s.l. – east-facing exposure. Winemaking/Aging: Soft pressing with destemming, maceration in the presence of the skins for about 5-6 days at a maximum temperature of 25-27°C. Yield per hectare: 60-70 q.li/Ha. A wine that lends itself to accompany various consumption occasions with sobriety, the Dolcetto d'Alba L invites careful tasting to appreciate its balance and persistence. Ideal for those seeking an authentic product representative of the Piedmontese tradition.
