The 2023 CHIANTI COLLI FIORENTINI Montebetti BIO* is a red DOCG wine produced by PODERE GUALANDI GUIDO, made in the renowned Tuscany region, Italy. This still wine, certified organic, is born from a careful selection of Colorino grapes grown in a vineyard located 250 metres above sea level, in the alberese soil of Montebetti, Poppiano, Montespertoli. Traditional vinification involves fermentation in oak vats with part of the grapes crushed with stems, giving the wine an elegant and complex character. Vintage: 2023 Grapes: Colorino Alcohol content: 13.5 Winery: Traditional Harvest/Vintage: A selection of the bunches is made in August and September, with part of the production therefore eliminated. The Sangiovese bunches are also lightened where necessary. The grapes are hand-picked using traditional bigonce. Organoleptic notes: Ruby red colour. On the nose, it seduces with notes of ripe cherries, blackcurrants and a hint of violet flowers. Complementary notes of fine spices and delicate wood nuances. On the palate, it is silky, fruity and elegant. Soil: Alberese Vineyard: Altitude 250 m a.s.l. A single vineyard of 2 hectares located in Montebetti, Poppiano, Montespertoli. Vinification/Aging: Part of the grapes is crushed with stems and placed in oak vats for fermentation together with the destemmed grapes.
